Text Box: It was dark at night, and there were no stars or lights. Joanna was a little girl who lived in the countryside.
Everything was silent in the world at this time. Suddenly there was a sound from the kitchen.
‘Dear Joanna, you must go to bed now, and it is late.’ her mom shouted.
‘UH…OK! Good night!’ She answered. Then she began to dream.

Text Box: She entered a different world in her dreams. She went into the woods, and was afraid, and she got lost. And then she saw a house. There was a strange queen and mouse. The mouse looked like seaweed and the queen looked like a blowfish. They were picnicking in their yard.

Text Box: The queen said, ‘Look! It’s a sunny day, isn’t it?’
And the mouse said, ‘Well, that’s right! But I think we have a visitor!’
‘May I join you?’ Joanna asked.
‘Of course!’ they said. So they picnicked together.

Text Box: Suddenly the yard began to shake, and the ground developed a big black hole under Joanna, and she dropped down into it. ‘Help me!’ Joanna cried and screamed.
‘Good bye!’ The queen and mouse said.

Text Box: In the hole, she was cold and afraid. And she wanted to cry. She heard a sound coming toward her. ‘I’m late! I’m late! If I’m late, I can’t go to watch the race!’ The turtle said. The turtle looked like a little bottle.
‘May I ask you…?’ she asked.
‘NO YOU CAN’T!’ The turtle shouted. But she still followed the turtle.

Text Box:  A few minutes later, she saw a glary light in front of the hole, and the light prevented her from seeing anything

Text Box: Suddenly she felt dizzy and sleepy as if she had fallen down a very deep hole.

Text Box: When she opened her eyes, she found she had fallen out of her bed, and
her mother was shouting, ‘Joanna! It’s
morning now! It’s time to get up! If you don’t wake up you will be late for
school!’
‘WOW…! That was a really strange
 dream!’ Joanna said.
