Vendor 2 - Stinky Tofu! Stinky Tofu! Buy some Stinky Tofu!
Vendor 3 - Throw the ball! Win a teddy bear!
Vendor 4 - Spoons! Spoons! Buy my nice spoons!
Vendor 5 - (angrily throws an item to the ground) Nobody! Nobody wants to buy our things!
Narrator - It is 2006. The people of Sherwood Night Market are not happy. The very bad Prince John takes too much money from the good people (indicate vendors). Who can help the people?
Narrator – Aah… Here is Robin, a good man. Robin was away and he doesn’t know the bad Prince took his house away…
Robin – I have walked for a long time. I am almost home… Oh but what is this? Who comes here? I will hide and listen… (Robin hides)
Grandpa – Oh no! My poor family!
Grandma – Oh no! My poor girl! (Pats Pippy o the head)
Pippy – Oh no! My poor little brother!
Foggy – (Foggy trips and falls down) Oh no! My poor head!
Grandpa – We are so sad!
Grandma – The Prince took our house. We have no home!
Pippy – What will we do? I am so hungry!
Foggy – Hungry! (Picks his nose and eats it)
Grandpa – Be careful my family! There! There is somebody behind the tree. I think it is a bad man!
Robin – Don’t be scared. It’s me! ROBIN!!!
Grandpa – Yahoo! Robin! You came back! We will be ok!!! Yahoo!
Grandma – Robin, you must fight the bad Prince!
Pippy – And the very bad Sheriff of Taichung!
Robin – Yes! I will fight them and I will help all the people!
Grandpa, Family & Vendors – Yahoo!
Narrator – While Robin was away many bad things happened. The bad Sheriff of Taichung took Robin’s girlfriend, the beautiful Marian. He is going to marry her…
Robin (offstage) – What?!?!?!?!?!
Narrator – He will marry your girlfriend
Robin – This is terrible! My heart! My heart is broken! My poor, beautiful Marian! Goodbye! (falls down crying)
Little John – Don’t worry Robin!
Robin – (looks up from the floor) My Friends!
Alan – (singing) Yes, we will help you! We will help you! Helpy you we will…
Everyone – BE QUIET!
Will – Yes! We will help you to stop the bad Prince John!
Much – And the bad Sheriff of Taichung.
Tuck – I’m hungry…
Merry Men! – TUCK!!!
Tuck – What? I AM hungry… Let’s go to 7-11...
Merry Men – (Shake their heads and turn away from Tuck)
Sheriff – It is me! The Sheriff of Taichung! Ha ha ha!
Narrator – (encouraging audience) Boo! Boo! Boo!
Guards – Boo! Boo! Boo!
Sheriff – What are you doing! You are MY soldiers! And why is everyone saying I am bad? I’m not bad!
Narrator – Oh yes you are…
Sheriff – Oh no I’m not!
Narrator – Oh yes you are…
Sheriff – Oh no I’m not!
Narrator and Guards – Oh yes you are…
Sheriff – Ok, I am bad… what am I gonna do? This house is MINE… Ha ha ha… Robin’s house is all mine. And when Prince John is King I will have MORE houses…

Narrator – Aah… There she is, the beautiful Lady Marian.
Narrator – Oh no! She is crying.
Narrator – Now everybody is crying!
Maidens – Huh?
Narrator – I SAID EVERYBODY!
Marian – I am so sad. This week I will marry the bad Sheriff. I can’t marry Robin…
Maiden 1 – Forget Robin, we don’t know where he is!
Maiden 2 – Yes, maybe he is dead!
Maidens 3&4 - Stop crying! Stop crying!
Maiden 1 – Stop crying! Look! Hiding there!
Maiden 2 – Yes there is a man looking at you because you are so beautiful…
Marian – (flicking her hair back) say that again!
Maidens 1,2,3,4 – You are so beautiful…
Marian – one more time!
Maidens 1,2,3,4 – (without conviction) Soooooo beautiful…
Marian – Who is it?
Robin – It is I! Robin!
Maidens 1,2,3,4 – Oh Robin (maidens faint)
Marian – Get up! He’s my boyfriend!
Robin – You can’t marry the Sheriff. He is a very bad man.
Marian – That’s right Robin I want you to marry me!

Marian – Be quiet! Let’s go Robin!

Narrator – Now we go back to Robin’s house.
Narrator - The Sheriff is very happy. He will marry Lady Marian! There will be a big party and everybody will be there… Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan, Wang Chien-Ming, and Prince John!
PJ Guard – Down! Down! Everybody Down!
PJ Guard – Delta 1. Delta 1. Check, come in. Check! Ok, you can get up now.
Sheriff – Who are you?
PJ Guard – I am #1. Prince John is coming.
Sheriff – Really? Where is he?
Prince John – Stand up! Stand up! I hate people doing that…
Sheriff – Welcome Prince John. Welcome to my house!
Prince John – Your house? This is Robin’s house, and he is very angry…
Sheriff – Oh no! What will he do…
Prince John – He will try to take the house. And he will try to take his girlfriend, Marian…
Sheriff – No! Marian will be mine! (To Guards). Get ready for the party!
Prince John – Don’t worry! I will help you Sheriff.

Robin – Ok, how many people do we have?
Pippy – (counting out loud) Hmm… About 40
Robin – 40!!! Wow! Very good! Good job little girl!
Pippy – Uh, but not everyone can come…
Robin – What? Why?
Pippy – Because it’s Wednesday, they have to go to school…
Robin – (falls down crying) Oh no poor me! What will I do? I can’t marry the beautiful Marian. I need more people to help!
Alan – (singing) Don’t worry Robin,
It will be ok,

Everybody – BE QUIET!

Tuck – I’m hungry…
Robin – But we need more people…
Will – Everybody will help you Robin. We all hate the bad Sheriff and the bad Prince.
John – See Robin! Everybody will help you.
Robin – Yes! We will get my house back!
Everybody – HURRAY!
Robin – Yes! We will throw out the bad Sheriff and the bad Prince!
Everybody – HURRAY!
Robin – And I will marry the BEAUTIFUL Marian!
Everybody – Ha ha ha ha ! BEAUTIFUL?!?!?!?!
Robin – Yes she is the most beautiful woman in the world! And I love her!
Everybody – Oh, Ok… Hurrah!
Robin – Let’s go! We need to get ready!
Narrator – So, Robin and his men went away to get ready… Meanwhile, the bad Sheriff and the Prince were getting ready for the wedding. They wanted to have a big party. But they were worried about Robin… So they asked a wise old man what they should do…
Sheriff – I am very scared of Robin. I think he will try to stop the wedding! What can we do?
Prince John – Don’t worry. I know a wise old man. He will tell us what to do…
Wise Old Man – Ouch! Hey! Stop pushing me!
PJ Guard 1 – Hurry up old man! (Pushes old man who falls down. Sheriff and Prince John laugh)
Prince John – Get up old man. Come here and tell us what we want to know.
Wise Old Man – Ok, ok, I’m coming… (Gets up and dusts himself off)
Prince John – Will Robin try to stop the wedding?
Wise Old Man – Of course! He loves the BEAUTIFUL Marian.
Sheriff – Oh no! What can we do?
Prince John – How can we stop Robin?
Wise Old Man – Hmmm… Robin is very smart! You must try to trick him…
Prince John – Ok, thank you old man. Now go away!
Sheriff – A trick! But what can we do?
Prince John – Hmm… I have a plan. Guards come here! (Guards run forward and stand in line)
Prince John – I know what to do. I need one guard. But it will be very dangerous. Who will help?
Prince John – Very good! You are a good man… Are you ready?
Guard 4 – Yes Sir! Ready!
Sheriff – Marian? Is it you my love?
Prince John – No! Are you stupid… this is your guard!
Sheriff – Oh… but he looks so beautiful!
Prince John – Yes! So this is our plan! Robin will think this is the beautiful Marian… then when he comes, we will CATCH him and kill him!

Robin – Ok men. Are we ready?
Will – Yes Robin, we are ready to help you.
John – We are ready to fight the bad Sheriff
Much – We are ready to fight the bad Prince John
Alan – We are ready to take Marian for you!
Tuck – We are ready to eat dinner!
Merry Men – TUCK!
Tuck – But I’m hungry…
Robin – It’s ok… Thank you men. Thank you for helping me. Be very quiet! Let’s go.
Narrator – At the house the sheriff is getting ready. They are going to trick Robin and his men. Then the Sheriff can marry the beautiful Marian. Oh no! What can Robin do? He doesn’t know about the trick! Who will help him?
Sheriff – Very good Prince John! Everything is ready!
Prince John - Yes we will catch Robin!
Sheriff – Quick, get ready! The guests are here.
Party Announcer – Michael Jackson!
Party Announcer – Michael Jordan!
Party Announcer – Wang Chien Ming!
Bishop – Ok! Here we are on this beautiful day. Sheriff, do you love this… er… uhh… woman?
Sheriff – Yes! I love her!
Bishop – Umm… Marian? Do you love this man?
Guard 4 – (in a fake high voice) YES!
Bishop – Now you are husband and wife. You can kiss.
Marian – NOOO!!! Robin! It’s a trick! They want to kill you!
Robin – Oh no! Go Men!
Michael Jackson – I will help you Sheriff…
Prince John – Uh oh! I’m getting out of here…
Sheriff – Ha! Now, Robin, I will kill you! I will marry the beautiful Marian…
Marian – Help! Somebody help Robin!
Wang Chien Ming – Robin! I will help you!
Robin – Thank you Wang Chien Ming! Thank you for helping us!
Wang Chien Ming – That’s ok, now you can marry the beautiful Marian!
Tuck – Yes Robin and Marian. Come now, I will marry you!
Tuck – Robin, Do you want to marry this beautiful Woman?
